Hey Everyone,
26 (soon to be 27! Where have the years gone!) North Queenslander.
Today marks day 1 of Duromine and starting weight is 103 kg! (wow)
Due to sudden weight gain over two years (35kg) i was diagnosed last August with BIH (Benign Intercranial Hypertension) . I have had a shunt implanted but my specialist's are begging me to loose the weight saying that it would remove 95% of the symptoms i am still facing. Having BIH makes regular excersise more pain then gain.. with portion control, change of eating habits and the help of this pill hopefully i can make the right lifestyle changes that will get me to where i need to be.

So here i am nervous but excited to see where this new journey takes me. It is so comforting stumbling across this forum, knowing i can share and relate with so many other people going through exactly what i am.. :)

Welcome Willow!
You can visit anytime, some ppl come some ppl go, but there are always many friends who are in the same boat here. Start with little changes in the diet and physical activity. Little steps lead to great results if you really want it.

Good luck!

I was thinking of doing a blog but wasn't sure how to go about it. Also was thinking of a video diary. But i might just wait a couple weeks and see how my body adjusts to the new tablets.

It's nice having some where to go to talk about this kind of stuff. No one i know has used duromine before and doesn't really know how to relate with me. So thanks a lot. Look forward to speaking with you all a lot more
