Anyone Else Feel Exhausted All Day Long??

Hi thanks, Yes i realize that duromine is not a long term solution. My wife has tried some before and improved her MS fatigue 100% The neuro in New Zealand wont give it out for MS fatigue even though they do in OZ,UK and USA. Would just be nice for her to have some to take when fatigue is at its worse. was just curious as to any other members on here who had used for MS fatigue.

I see.. Well, best of luck to you, Joel!

I started duromine 5 days ago, I used it 3 years ago with great results and felt energised and no appetite straight away. However this time around I am so exhausted everyday, I struggle to keep my eyes open also my appetite is the same. Also really bloated... Iā€™ve been drinking 1.5 litres of water every day. I donā€™t know if I should continue taking it or stop I just canā€™t deal with the extreme tiredness anymore

Sorry to hear that but at the same time it's reassuring to know that it's not just me! I struggled on for 8 days total and today is day 4 without. The last day I took one, I had 2 poached eggs on toast for breakfast and I was absolutely ravenous within 2 hours, when normally that would keep me going for hours, until a late, light lunch. I have slept a lot over the weekend and am hoping it's just about out of my system. Beginning to feel normal again! To be honest it was an odd thing for the doc to do - they are expensive and I'm not working but was desperate for energy. First he offered antidepressants and these seemed the lesser of two evils! He asked nothing about my diet. At last the hunger has gone and I've eaten less than when taking them.

Hello :) , Iā€™ve been prescribed Duromine 15mg . I was on this for about 7 days and was feeling so fatigue to the point were I just had to sleep and still hungry so I Than went back to my doctor but my normal one was not in , so I had to see another one and she told me to take two tablets instead of one so I was taking 30mg for 3 days and was still feeling fatigue but my heart was racing quite a bit and my body temperature felt very high as I remember I was just doing grocery shopping and felt so sick/hot and I could feel my Heart Racing and it felt hard to breath all day/night when I was taking the 30 tablets like a feeling of not getting enough air into my lungs , so i went back to the doctors on the third day of taking 30mg , I saw my normal one and she checked my heart rate and she seemed quite shocked and said it was quite high so she told me to go back down to the 15mg but after this occasion Iā€™ve been to scared to and keep wondering why dumromine would make me so fatigue , I have no thyroid problems and my iron came up low
On my blood test 2 weeks ago at 22 and the normal level is 38-50 percent I believe ? Not quite sure . But Iā€™ve been off Duromine for about a week now as Iā€™ve still been to scared to take it after my heart was racing . could of all this been because i jumped to 30mg so quickly ? But even on the 15mg I was feeling so fatigue but got the fast heart rate and feeling of ā€œhard to breatheā€ on the 30mg

Side note - I have started taking an iron supplement for my low iron called spatone for about four days now , still feel fatigue but not as fatigue as I did taking Duromine

Hello Shania. So sorry that you had an unpleasant experience with Duromine. You see, it does help at times that people instead of increased energy get constant fatigue. This is a paradoxical reaction, since Duromine is a CNS stimulant and its action is directed over a different effect. The usual recommendation for such cases is to stop taking Duromine for 3-4 days and resume its use. As a rule, second time around is better and people do not get the same low energy levels. Still, it is a very individual thing, so you can never tell for sure how your body will react.

As for doubling the dose like you were advisedā€¦ I have noticed that people who were taking 2x15mg pills reported of completely different effects when they were switching to 1x30mg pill. It turns out that these are not the sameā€¦ Judging simply from other peopleā€™s experiences.

Obviously, you should not take a higher dose. However, if you still want to take it, and if your heart rate came back to normal, you might try it, if your doc says itā€™s ok for you to do so. As for making your iron level lowā€¦ not sure if Duromine can affect thisā€¦ You probably had this deficiency beforeā€¦ or an issue that was not diagnosed and exacerbated because of Duromine, and caused your anemia.

If you ever take Duromine again, you need to carefully monitor your heart rate and avoid active exercises. Better get into long walks. Best of luck to you, Shania! Hope, you will stay healthy and keep pursuing your weight loss goal.

Hi everyone
I am new to this forum.
I started Duromine 30mg on 1st Sep, and had the energy buzz, motivation to get moving and reduced hunger. I also had dry mouth, but that was fixed with drinking lots of water. The first couple of nights I struggled to sleep.
About 4-5 days in my sleep settled, and I was cruising really well, exercising every day, eating between 1000 - 1300 calories a day of healthy foods (mainly fruit and veg, lean meats and whole grain bread/pasta)
Unfortunately the past couple of days I have crashed and burned. I've been extremely tired, falling asleep mid afternoon for a nap, and feeling groggy and grumpy all day long.
I also have to push myself to do basic housework, or to go for a walk.
I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to get back some feeling of energy. I don't even need the Duromine buzz, I'd be happy with my normal energy levels.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lady Moneypenny,

First of all, congratulations on starting your weightloss journey! :sun:

Did your doctor prescribe you 1000-1300 calories a day?
It looks like you've made a huge change in your daily routine (exercising, diet, etc.) and your body needs time to get used to it and Duromine effects.

How are you feeling now? How is your journey going in terms of weight loss? Some days we just need more rest than others even without a diet or duromine, maybe thatā€™s just what your body needs.

Agree with April. You started to change your habits too fast. My doctor advised me to start my diet and after a few weeks to start my fitness routine. @Lady Moneypenny How are you feelong today?

@Lady Moneypenny
Uuuuuh, I have had insomnia for two weeks. It was terrible :cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat:
Since I've started to practice yoga at home, I feel better. It calms your body and brain. Recommend it.

@Lady Moneypenny I think you should add more fiber and protein to your daily meals. Maybe you don't consume enough calories for your energy? :bomb:

I felt the same after week 1. @Lady Moneypenny take a rest for 1 day, go for a walk, meet your friend, spend time with your family. What about cheat meal for 1 day? :p

Hi @Lady Moneypenny :) Do you still feel tired? Did anything change till now?

@Lady Moneypenny If you want to keep your energy up, you need a good sleep and healthy food. It seems like you don't eat enough. Stay positive and avoid stress.
