hormones going crazy! Duramine???

Hey everyone, not sure how to use this site as I just signed up tonight after doing a Google search on 'does duramine give you pimples' lol.. So I'm not sure if anyone can even see this BUT here's my question/story..

I've been on duramine now for one month, it's been fine for me, hasn't been keeping me awake or giving me headaches like my doctor said it might, BUT I have had a total pimple breakout which is unusual, as I rarely get them and wash my face each day etc. So apparently some other people have experienced this but I'm also thinking my hormones are just going mental at the moment.

I have polysystic ovaries and also insulin resistance so my doctor said I need to loose weight, since the end of May I have lost 20 kilo, everything has been going fine until recently.. I have the implanon in my arm as contraception and never got periods on it until about a month ago or so ago and I have had a constant one since..

I really have no idea if this is something that can happen when you loose weight etc but it's like the pimples and now the period, seems like a hormone thing. I am seeing my doctor tomorrow about it but I was just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this happen at all??

Thanks everyone :)

Would love to help, but I've only been on duromine for a week, I hope you get better.

Hi.. yes pimples are a present from duromine... i very rarely usually get pimples, but duromine gives me a steady flow of them...
When you read through these forum entries, you will soon realise this drug effects us all differently.. some are lucky and don't feel hunger at all... others like me still get hungry but dont eat so much with duromine.. lots of differing side effects!

Why not share a little about yourself and begin to enjoy the support you will find here... What are your stats.. start weight?. Goal weight.. height..

Me - SW: 75.5 GW: 58kg height: 153cm
Duromine isnt so effective for me.. and i struggle to make it work properly... but - slowly and surely... loss is occurring!

Thanks for the messages everyone :)

Well my start weight was 119.5kg very heavy, needed to do something about it for my health, I am currently at 100kilo, which keeps going up and down, so working on it to get it steady in double digits, goal weight is between 70-80 which would be a healthy weight for my height 170cm... I've still got a long way to go, but I am finding duramine is helping me feel full so I am not eating as much, smaller portion sizes has been a huge thing for me through this process it's definitely made a difference, also I've been seeing a dietition and exercise Physio who have been helping me make better choices about eating and exercise. Although it is hard to find the motivation a lot of the time especially with a huge work load at uni during my final year, but I will get there for sure. I think this site is definitely great for support and encouragement and have seen many great stories so far so I am excited to keep going with the support of people who are on weight loss journies also and experiencing similar things :)
