Hi All,

Day 1 down for me on the 40mg. It's 1am so safe to say the side effect of not being able to sleep is definitely here for me. It might be because I took the tablet at around 11:30am today. I Will be taking it early at about 6am before work tomorrow so hopefully tomorrow night I'll be ok.

So a little about me.....I am 29 years old and weighed in this morning at 72kg and about 162cm tall (short).

I'm getting married later this year which is why I am now desperate to lose the weight I've carried with me and tried to lose my whole life. I had a nightmare the other night about being overweight on my wedding day wearing a horrible dress. I don't want that to be a reality and which is why I went to the dr straight away yesterday to get a script.

I tried Duromine August last year and lost about 3 kilos in first few weeks but then felt it wasn't really suppressing my appetite anymore and gave up after a total of about 6 weeks.

I'm hoping that now I have more a reason to do it, I can have the mental willpower to do this and really stay focused.

My ultimate goal would be to get down to 55kg which is a loss of 17kg by the end of September - let's put an exact date and say 26 September to make it an even 8 months. I've never been this weight, the lowest I have been is 65kg a couple of years ago (the highest was about 95
Kg when I was much younger, so have struggled with this my whole life, and feel the pain of always being on a diet, but never getting anywhere)

I'm hoping this loss is possible. I've been through this forum and read through so many "goal" and other posts that I'm thinking this should be achievable if I stay focused and dedicated. Would love any tips from anyone who has lost a similar amount or maybe around the same weight, and would be great to keep in touch with others on a similar journey.

So back to my goals - 17kg in 8 months = 2.125 per month so around 500gm per week. Definitely seems much more achievable when broken down like that.

I want to really tone up as well so will be trying to incorporate weights into my exercise regime and probably get a personal trainer. I will try stick to 1200 calories per day, as with exercise I don't want to deplete myself too much that I get sick.

My 1st mini goal: 65kg (nice round number, & lightest ever weight couple hrs ago)
My 2nd goal: 62kg (this would be 10kg loss)
My 3rd goal: 59kg (have always dreamed of seeing a 5 as the first number on scale)
Ultimate Goal: 55kg (17kg loss)

So here it all is, my goals in writing. Look forward to sharing my journey with you all and following others going through this same experience.

Let's do this!

P.s it's now 1:30am hopefully I got this out of my system I can get some sleep!

GOOD LUCK!!! your goal is definately achievable when you break it down. Just keep imagining yourself in a beautiful dress at your goal weight as inspiration. CHEERS Cassie
